Privacy & Your Data
Prices are sensitive. Here's exactly what we record, what other growers can see, and what stays on your device.
What we record
When you join the pilot, we record your name, farm, county, email, optional phone, how you grow, a hashed password, and the consent wording you agreed to. When you save a lot or add a price, we record the strain and pounds (both required to save), each price's grow type, grade, price, unit and date, the optional county and buyer label, and whether you chose to share it. When you upload a price list, we keep the file in private storage tied to your account, record whose list it is, and keep each row we read from it as unconfirmed until you confirm, edit or reject it — nothing from an upload is saved to your lots or counted anywhere until you do. Someone else's list is held until its owner's permission is recorded. You can withdraw an upload at any time; the file is then removed. The rows have not yet been read automatically: no file has been sent to any outside AI service. When you send a message, we record it so a person can reply.
These records are kept in a private database used only for CannaTrender, run by CannaTrender's technology partner, Samuel Holley AI Consulting. They are not public, and they are never shared with buyers.
What other growers can see
- Only aggregate ranges per grow type and grade: the number of participating grower accounts, and the 25th percentile, median and 75th percentile, rounded to the nearest $25.
- Only from offers whose owners chose to include them, and only once at least five different grower accounts have shared. Each account counts once, as the median of its own shared offers. Farm names are self-reported, and we don't verify that each account is a separate farm or business.
- Never names, farms, buyers, counties, contact details or individual prices.
Aggregates reduce what can be learned about any one farm, but with small groups they can't make it impossible — for example, a grower who knows the other few sellers in a group might infer something. Only include offers you're comfortable contributing to a shared range.
Offers are self-reported by growers and aren't verified sales. The statewide range is built only from offers — never mixed with asking prices or completed sales. If you mark a lot as sold, that sale (buyer label, price and date sold) is kept in your account for your records only and is not part of any range. You can also note payment terms and days until paid for a sale; these stay private to your account, appear in your own export, and are never used in any range or comparison.
How long we keep it
We keep pilot records for as long as the pilot runs, unless you ask us to remove yours sooner — send a request and we'll take your records out of use and out of the comparison. We may have to disclose records if the law requires it.
Your login
Each farmer has an individual email-and-password login. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash, and your browser keeps a sign-in cookie that expires after 30 days or when you log out. Your lots and offers are visible only to you when logged in, and to the people running the pilot. To reset a password or correct or remove your record, send us a request.
Nothing else is stored on your device
Apart from the sign-in cookie, this site doesn't keep your details or prices in your browser. If you start a comparison before logging in, it's held for that browser tab only so you don't lose it.
